This scholarship is awarded based on the candidate’s character, scholastic records, evidence of intellectual promise, demonstration of ambition, leadership ability, and need for financial assistance. Applicant must be present for judging and presentation of the scholarship at the time and place designated.
By supporting existing activities, working with various established programs, and initiating educational opportunities for club members and local citizens, the goal of the GFWC Signature Program is to increase awareness and prevention of the widespread occurrence of domestic abuse in communities across the nation. GFWC is a national leader in the fight to end domestic violence by raising awareness about this social issue.
This scholarship is awarded based on the candidate’s character, scholastic records, evidence of intellectual promise, demonstration of ambition, leadership ability, and need for financial assistance. Applicant must be present for judging and presentation of the scholarship at the time and place designated.
Applicant must be a resident of North Carolina and a rising junior at an accredited North Carolina four-year accredited college or university having declared an education major to become a K-12 teacher.
Applicant should have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Applicant must use the official application form (or copies of) published in the Forms section of the current GFWC-NC Administration Book.
